It's January 2025 and as we all begin a brand new year, Burnley Film Makers return to Higham Village Hall on Wednesday the 8th of January for the second half of their 2024-25 season. To begin the new year we have an 'Open Screening' evening where members and guests are invited to bring a film or two along they have been working on maybe over Christmas, or before, to show to the audience. Please bring your film(s) on a USB / memory stick in .mp4 format.
The following week, the 15th of January, BFM member and experienced wildlife film maker David Crossley presents an evening of his films and the stories behind them at BFM.
The 22nd of January is our Four Seasons Challenge - the idea here is to make a film that encompasses Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, or maybe just one or two of the seasons. Again, bring your films on a USB / memory stick on the night.
The 29th of January a aimed at beginners to film making and those who like to record films using a mobile phone. This session will look at the basics of film making with a mobile phone and using a simple video editing app like iMovie which comes free with iPhones. If you come along on the night make sure that your phone is fully charged up!
And if you are interested in making films and be part of a group, please come along to Burnley Film Makers and see what goes on, it wont cost you a penny for your first THREE visits which are FREE! All details of Burnley Film Makers, our current programme and contact details are on our website at www.burnleyfilmmakers.org we also have a BFM Facebook group and a growing list of our films (now over 100) on our BFM YouTube channel.
Happy New Year and best wishes,
